Be prepared for the soccer world championship next year in germany. Introduced some month before smartmobs now reports that the smartball works well.
The adidas smartball uses a tiny chip that sends radio signals. These signals are recieved by up to 12 antennae around the pitch.
This little but helpful piece of technology answers one of the most important questions in the soccer world: has the ball crossed the goal line? And in a week of matches it never failed. In Germany all institutions already think about using the ball 2006 for the world cup and in the Bundesliga too.
