The Kardashians are being accused of copying handbags designs for their new collection at Sears.
Handbags designer Monica Botkier is taking action against Sears, claiming that handbags released as part of the sisters' Kardashian Kollection is a knockoff. The designer sent a cease and desist letter to the retailer Sears after being alerted about the similarities.
The handbags in question are similar to the designer's Clyde collection, which is retailed at $600, while the Kardashian Kollection handbags are retailed at $95. The Kardashian Kollection is due in 400 US retailers on August 25 and is currently being sold online.
Sears, which is the exclusive retailers for the Kardashian sisters' designs, has declined to comment and the handbags are currently no longer for sale on the stores website.
