Designer Clothes Sought After For Their Image

The prevalent perception among consumers in the U.S. is that designer clothes are overpriced, and few are convinced that the quality of designer clothes is significantly higher than that of other brands. In spite of this, as many as 20 percent of Internet users confess to buying international designer clothes and nearly half claim that many of their friends buy them. People seemed to be willing to pay extra for the certain social status that designer clothes project.
North Americans are the world's most sceptical when it comes to designer clothes with as many as 36 percent of them believing that imitation designer clothes are just as good as the real ones. In Europe wearing designer clothes is considered the norm, while the French, British and Dutch are among those least likely to indulge themselves with designer labels.
