Experts from the University of Victoria, Australia have created a new range to textile materials that is a combination of nano-particles of gold and silver wool. This type of technology clothing textile is colorful and has aesthetic as well as functional benefits.

Gold and silver are associated with wool through an ultra-strong bond; hence this nanotechnology clothing material does not fade out with use. This technology enabled clothing material also has an antimicrobial capacity and may even be able to reduce odors.
The development of this textile is much more expensive than wool colored with organic dyes, which is why the main object of this research is to use nanotechnology clothing in high fashion and as high fashion accessories. The researchers have formed a company and hope to enter the market with these new couture nanotechnology clothing.
